You came to Maine for lobster rolls, lighthouses, and ocean air, not to hunt for a notary. But closings, powers of attorney, and work documents don't always wait until you get home. Notary Java is a traveling notary who will meet you at your Airbnb, hotel, or vacation rental.
Where We Meet Visitors
We travel to rentals and hotels across coastal and Southern Maine, including:
- Ogunquit and York, from beach cottages to inns
- Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, at summer rentals and harbor hotels
- Old Orchard Beach, Saco, and Biddeford
- Portland and South Portland, at downtown hotels and Old Port rentals
- Freeport and Brunswick
- Kittery, for visitors just over the bridge
Staying somewhere else in the state? We serve all of Maine by arrangement.
Common Vacation Signings
- Remote real estate closings for a home sale or purchase back home
- Refinance and HELOC packages that land in your inbox mid-trip
- Powers of attorney for a relative handling business while you're away
- Child travel consent letters for the rest of the trip
- Affidavits and work documents your office needs signed now
We'll Print It for You
Most rentals don't have a printer. Send your documents through the Upload Document Now button on our website, and we'll bring printed copies to the appointment. Just let us know about any special paper, page-size, or single-sided printing rules from your title company or lender.
How to Book
- Call or text 207-808-0550 with your location, the document type, and the number of signers.
- Upload your documents if they need printing.
- Have ID ready. Out-of-state driver's licenses and passports are fine as long as they're current.
- Pick a quiet spot, like the dining table, the hotel business center, or a lobby corner.
Out-of-State Documents
Many visitors bring documents drafted under another state's law. A Maine notary can usually notarize a document meant for use elsewhere, as long as the notarial certificate follows Maine requirements. If your document has another state's certificate wording, we'll review it and tell you what we can and can't complete. If you're unsure whether the receiving office will accept it, ask them before the appointment.
Enjoy your trip, and let us take one errand off your list. For extra discretion, see our confidential concierge service.
