Why a Coffee Shop?
A café is neutral, public, comfortable, and usually easy to park near. It's a great choice when:
- You'd rather not host at home
- Several signers are coming from different directions
- Co-parents or business partners want a neutral meeting place
- You just want an excuse for a latte
Coffee Shop Etiquette for Signings
- Pick a spot with a table and decent lighting.
- Avoid peak rush if you can, since quieter times are easier.
- Keep drinks away from the original documents.
- Consider privacy. For sensitive matters, choose a quieter corner or a private location instead.
When a Coffee Shop Isn't Right
Some signings belong somewhere private:
- Confidential business documents, for which we offer NDAs
- Medical or family matters
- Large loan packages that need lots of table space

What to Bring
- Current government photo ID for every signer
- The unsigned document, or upload it and we'll print it
- Any witnesses your document requires
- A pen is optional. We'll bring plenty.
Where We Meet
We meet clients at cafés, homes, and offices in Portland, South Portland, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Westbrook, Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth, and nearby towns. Tell us your favorite spot, and we'll meet you there.
